Highest efficiency solar cells give high power output including in low light:
AKT Solar panels use the highest quality Grade A Monocrystalline cells meaning you get exceptional power from a relatively small area and the low metalisation ensures you continue to get high power output even in low-light and cloudy conditions.
Voltages optimised for 12V systems:
All our off-grid panels have voltages optimised for 12V systems and can also be simply connected in series using the MC4 connectors to power 24V, 48V or higher voltage systems.
Low-iron anti-reflective glass:
Our anti-reflective glass means the maximum amount of sunlight gets to your cells whatever the angle of the sun to the panel. The low iron content also ensures the maximum amount of energy reaches the cells, further improving your panel's efficiency.
Annodised aluminium alloy frame:
Our tough aluminium alloy frames give excellent rigidity and protection while keeping your panel as light as possible for ease of installation.
Waterproof and airtight seal between glass, TPT back-sheet and frame:
Our waterproof sealing process ensures the panels will withstand rain, hail, snow and frost without damage and without loss of performance.
Waterproof junction box:
All our panels from 40W upwards have waterproof junction boxes as standard including sealed cable entry to ensure your panel will be able to withstand any weather conditions.
5m of high-current solar cable with MC4 connectors:
All panels from 40W upwards come with high-current solar cable to maximise power transmission. 5m is normally sufficient for wiring to caravans, house roofs, water pumps, canal boats and garden sheds. The MC4 connectors also enable you to extend the cables or link panels simply to create higher voltage systems.
